I love banana muffins and these homemade Air Fryer Banana Muffins are my new favorite snack. Do you know what makes banana muffins the best? Using ripe bananas!

Why Use Ripe Bananas for Muffins?

Banana muffins are made with ripe bananas which gives the muffins a sweeter flavor than using fresh bananas. The riper the fruit, the more the fructose, sucrose, and glucose are increased which makes the fruit sweeter. Another one of my favorite muffins to make is Air Fryer Blueberry Muffins. So good! I love making muffins in the air fryer. They’re super easy with silicone liners and made fast! Once you have all of your ingredients together, these muffins come together relatively quickly.

How to Make Banana Muffins in the Air Fryer

Add the flour and baking powder to a large bowl and set aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl, cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter with a hand mixer. Add the egg and the vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Pour the butter and sugar mixture into the flour mixture and mix until combined. Fold the mashed bananas into the muffin batter. Use a large cookie scoop or ice cream scoop to scoop the batter into the silicone baking molds. Fill each mold ¾ of the way full.

Place the silicone molds into the basket of the air fryer and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-8 minutes. Carefully remove the silicone molds from the basket and place them on a cooling rack.

Once cool, remove the banana muffins from the silicone molds and serve.

NOTE: This banana muffin recipe was made using a 5.8 Quart Cosori Air Fryer. If you’re using a different brand of air fryer you may need to adjust the cook time. All air fryers cook a little differently and it’s always a good idea to test the recipe before making it.

How long does it take to make banana muffins in the air fryer?

With the temperature at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, I found the muffins to bake perfectly in 8 minutes in the Cosori 5.8 quart Air Fryer.

How do I store remaining banana muffins?

Store any remaining muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Can I freeze banana muffins?

Freeze remaining banana muffins in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Defrost at room temperature and then heat if desired. Banana muffins are a favorite recipe that the entire family enjoys. If you’re looking for a fresh banana muffins recipe, this is one of my favorites. It’s quick, easy, and disappears fast! Looking for more air fryer desserts?
