Corn on the cob is pretty simple. I made this corn in my Cosori 5.8 quart air fryer, but as long as the ears of corn fit your basket or rack, any air fryer will work. To make this corn, you will need:

Corn Cobsunsalted butter teaspoon kosher saltteaspoon black pepper

Just four ingredients needed to make this recipe. I just use salt and pepper, but you can always add on your favorite seasoning.

How to Make Corn on the Cob in the Air Fryer

To begin, you need to remove the husks, rinse, and then pat them dry. You want to peel off any remaining small pieces until you have clean corn. Once you have them rinsed and dried, brush each ear of corn with melted butter. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on each piece, and then place corn in the air fryer basket, in a single layer. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-16 minutes, turning the corn half way through the cooking. Depending on your air fryer, and the size of the corn, you may need to add an additional 3-4 minutes to cook time. Turn the corn over after 7-8 minutes. Once they are done, you can add a little more butter and seasonings to your preference. You can also serve them just as they are since they are already buttered and seasoned.

Can corn on the cob turn into popcorn in the air fryer?

No. Popping corn is different than sweet corn. Although you can buy Orville popcorn kernels and pop them in the air fryer.

Can I cook frozen corn?

Yes. This easy side dish can be made in just a few minutes. Cook them in the basket for about 3-5 minutes. Then add the butter and seasonings and cook for an additional 12-14 minutes.

Can I make Air Fryer Corn in Foil?

For this recipe, I don’t use aluminum foil. But if you want to do this extra step, just remember to add extra cooking time.

HOW DO I STORE LEFTOVER CORN?

Store leftover corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. To reheat, add the corn back to the air fryer and reheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-4 minutes.

NOTES:

For this corn recipe I used salt and pepper, but a few of our preferred seasonings are:

garlic powderchili powderparmesan cheeselemon juicelime juicechili saucechili pepper flakes

Not all air fryers are the same, for best results you may need to add an additional 1-2 minutes of cook time to get an ear of crispy corn. You can use the air-fried corn kernels to make other delicious corn recipes, like creamy corn salad, or corn salsa. Fresh sweet corn is always a great side dish. MORE AIR FRYER RECIPES:
