How to Make London Broil in Air Fryer

NOTE: I make this recipe in my basket style 5.8 qt Cosori air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattage the cook time will vary 2-3 minutes.

TIPS:

Optional spices: Use your favorite seasonings such as red pepper flakes, a family favorite spice rub, 2 teaspoons kosher salt, and add fresh pats of herb butter over the top of the juicy steak. Or use your favorite rubs and seasonings such as Lawry’s or Montreal Steak seasoning. Optional dipping sauces:  a decadent cowboy butter sauce, ranch dressing, a velvety cheese sauce, garlic, a few tablespoons lemon juice and sour cream mixture or blue cheese dressing  Another great marinade: A few hours before cooking mix a cup of marinade and use red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar with various spices or use cup of Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and garlic cloves give the steaks a delicious flavor.   Other favorite dry rub or marinade: in a small bowl combine a teaspoon black pepper, smoked paprika, teaspoon turbinado sugar and ancho chili powder. Or dry mustard, onion powder, teaspoon paprika, Italian seasoning and granulated garlic powder. A teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of pepper with canola oil is also simple and quick. Cooking tips: With any olive oil or dry rub mixture wrapping the steak in plastic wrap prior to cooking is a great way to pack flavor into the meat. If you’re not serving steak soon after it’s finished cooking, let it continue to cool on a rack because this will keep the crust crispy and allow even cooling to occur.

What sides can be served with this London broil recipe to make a complete meal?

Use your air fryer for dinner making delicious sides like green beans, and baked potatoes. Use the London broil cuts of beef in cubes or slices and put them into a casserole dish. You can also serve with grilled roasted vegetables, rice pilaf, or a crisp wedge salad with a bright lemon dressing.

What is London broil?

It is a lean meat that has tough muscle fibers. Marinating this beef steak is very important because it helps break down some of the connective tissue prior to cooking so that this beef dish comes out tender and flavorful every time. You can also use a meat tenderizer to break down the toughness of the steak.

How to store leftovers?

Wrap the steak in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and place it in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you are going to freeze leftovers store them the same way in your freezer for up to 2 months.

How do I know what temperature my steak should be?

Temperature guidelines are as follows for a great cooked steak so use an instant-read meat thermometer or digital thermometer when air frying. For best results, to cook your perfect steak the internal temperature should read 120-125 degrees F for rare, medium-rare 130-135 degrees F, medium doneness will read 140-145 degrees F, medium well 150-155 degrees F, and well done will be 160 degrees F.  I hope you enjoy this air fryer London broil recipe as much as we do.
