If you love pumpkin spice as much as I do, you will love these delicious air fryer pumpkin donut holes. These donut holes are better than a donut shop! Fall is my favorite time of year. The weather is finally cooler, tailgating parties are starting, and of course, all things pumpkin spice are front and center. I love pumpkin recipes, and these donut holes are a perfect cake-like donut hole.  These bites of donut are a fun treat that can be topped with delicious cinnamon cream cheese frosting, dipped in melted white chocolate, or rolled in a coating of cinnamon mixture. I have made them each way, and they are delicious no matter how you top them.  I added these donut holes to a fun Halloween charcuterie board, and rolled them in melted white chocolate, then topped them with sprinkles. They were a HIT! If you are looking for more delicious recipes for Halloween, you will love Air Fryer Chex Mix, Ghost Cupcakes and Mummy Dogs.

What you need to make Donut Holes In the Air Fryer

I make these donut holes in my Cosori Air Fryer. Because they are a cake-like dough, I used small round silicone molds, which come in a set of 4, making this recipe even faster to make. Besides an air fryer, to make these donut holes, you will need:

How to make Air Fryer Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes

In a medium mixing bowl, or using a stand mixing bowl, beat the butter with the sugars, egg, and vanilla until it is smooth and creamy. Add in the milk, pumpkin puree, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and pumpkin spice. Beat together on medium speed until it is well combined and forms a batter. Use a small cookie scoop to fill the silicone liners. Place the filled liner into the basket, and air fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, for 7-9 minutes, until they are golden brown.  Using the Cosori air fryer, 8 minutes was the perfect amount of time. While they are cooking, in a shallow bowl, combine the white sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice, then set the bowl aside until you are ready to dip them. Once they are done cooking, remove them from the basket. Once they are cool enough to hold them, place them on a piece of parchment paper. Brush them with melted butter, then roll them in the Cinnamon Sugar mixture until they are well coated.

Can I coat the donut holes in something besides a cinnamon sugar topping?

Yes. To get the perfect donut, you use brown sugar or powdered sugar instead of the granulated sugar. I have also frosted the tops with cream cheese frosting, and dipped them in white chocolate and added sprinkles for a more festive appearance.

Can I make my own Pumpkin Pie Spice?

McCormick’s makes a Pumpkin Pie Spice already mixed, but if you can’t find it, you can easily whip up a small batch. To make your own pumpkin pie spice, in a small bowl, combine:

1 tablespoon cinnamon½ teaspoon ground ginger½ teaspoon ground nutmeg¼ teaspoon ground allspice¼ teaspoon ground cloves
